    PPSC Exam Requirements 2024

    When applying for a PPSC exam, there are several important requirements we need to keep in mind:

    • Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for each post is determined according to the post mentioned in the advertisement. We must carefully review the specific requirements for the position we are applying for.
    • Academic Qualification Verification: A candidate's academic qualification or experience will be authorized as per commission rules. This means that all degrees and certificates will be verified before a candidate is considered eligible.
    • Important Instructions: All important instructions are guided time to time by the commission. We must stay updated with the latest notifications and instructions from PPSC.
    • PPSC Age, Educational Requirements, and Experience: PPSC age limits, educational requirements, and experience requirements will be taken up to closing date as per respective post. This means we need to meet all requirements by the closing date of the application.
    • No Relaxation Powers: It must be noted that the Punjab Public Service Commission has no power to grant any relaxation in the PPSC exam eligibility criteria. The rules are strict and must be followed.

    Acceptance of Foreign Degrees and Diplomas

    According to the PPSC commission rules, only those foreign degrees, certificates, or diplomas will be accepted that have been recognized by:

    • Higher Education Commission (HEC)
    • Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (P.M.D.C)
    • Pakistan Engineering Council (P.E.C)
    • Inter Board Committee of Chairman (I.B.C.C)

    If we have a foreign degree or diploma, we must ensure it has been recognized by the relevant regulatory body before applying. Without proper recognition, the degree will not be considered valid for PPSC examinations.

    PPSC Age Relaxation Rules 2024

    The Punjab government has granted upper age limit relaxation under the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules of 1976. This relaxation applies to the following categories:

    • Ex-Defence Forces Personnel: In the case of ex-defence forces officers/personnel, age relaxation is granted.
    • Government Servants: In the case of a candidate already working as a government servant, age relaxation is granted.
    • Special Persons: In case of special persons as defined under Rule 2(III) of the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules, age relaxation is granted.
    • Federal or Semi-Government Employees: Employees of federal or semi-government and independent bodies of federal government or independent bodies of provincial government are also eligible for age relaxation.

    PPSC Lecturers Jobs Equivalence Qualification

    For Lecturer positions, the Punjab Public Service Commission has issued specific equivalence of qualification requirements. These apply to Lecturer Female and Lecturer Male jobs in the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab.

    The key requirements for Lecturer positions include:

    • Educational Qualification: Minimum Second (2nd) Class Master's Degree in the relevant subject from a HEC recognized University.
    • Equivalence: Candidates having a degree equivalent to a Master's are also eligible to apply.
    • Age Limit: Age should be between 21 to 28 years.
    • Age Relaxation: 10 years general age relaxation in upper age limit for female candidates, and 7 years general age relaxation in upper age limit for male candidates.

    PPSC Combined Competitive Exams Age Relaxation Notice

    For the Combined Competitive (PMS) Examination, the Punjab Public Service Commission has issued an important notification regarding age relaxation. It has been informed that 2 years age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given by the Punjab Government.

    This relaxation applies to:

    • Candidates who have domiciled in Punjab
    • Officials serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Punjab
